How can you find happiness amongst the maffia? This life can not give you anything good… Or is it? Second chances are possible?
A long time ago, life was nothing but never-ending suffering.
The brotherhood welcomed me with open arms, giving me a chance even though I hated everything about it.
For years I lived on the edge of desperation, seeking solace in things that never gave me peace.
Until she showed up, changing everything…and demanding it all.
A beautiful yet stubborn FBI agent who made me crazy with every breath she took.
Unfortunately, her presence awakened the evils of my past that would not rest until they destroyed what I held dear to my heart.
I got an advanced copy of this books. I was opening it, I was sooo excited, then… I read through the prologue, thought… okay. So this will be the pain. In past. Then we traveled back to the past… then we met somebody interesting then I got confused. I was like: Noooo, you would not…
I really do not want to go into details, but believe me. I was like, this is such a huuuge spoiler already in the prologue, she would not dare to do it. Then I realised, yes… she did just that. Honestly, I was asking myself then why should I continue reading, I was just too shocked. But I was also thinking, the hell, she must have something up her sleeve, so. Here we go!
And. Oh. My. Goddess. Was this book just A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Absolutely a must-read. The story a perfect mix between keeping you on your toes and make you go all goooey and soft. And giggly. Yeah, I admit. Shame on me.
I do not want to tell you anything about the story, just the basics. Our Kaznachei (yeah, this is my first in the series -but not last, shame on me again- so I thought this was his name… Yeah, really stupid) has a very big pain from the past. He totally closed himself off from everyone, especially females. But fate has other plans and years later in America he meets with his perfect equal. An FBI agent, who gets his interest. Than others’ also. Unfortunately.
The characters were real, you could feel them, love them and be totally immersed in the book. The setting, the action, everything just clicked in the most well-planned way. I really have to bow, because this time V.F. Mason really did her best of best.
Amazing, dear, amazing. I want more, please.
V.F.Mason always loved reading books and had quite a few fights with her mama over the genre she liked (romance, duh!) She studied filmmaking and thought that would feed her desire for stories, but that didn’t happen.
Finally, when she was tired of all those voices in her head, she sat down and wrote a book. It was a huge decision to make and she thanks her friends and family for supporting her in it.
When she is not writing, she can be found with her friends doing all sorts of crazy things or reading recent romance books that were written by her favorite authors.
