It is the miracle of life, a tiny bump that gives you the most strength you ever needed…
Rachel Kelly has traveled a long, hard road in her journey back to her husband, Ethan, and the Kelly family. Now, as she and Ethan are poised to move into their new home, safe behind the walls of the Kelly compound, Rachel wonders if she’ll finally be free of the ghosts that have haunted her for so long and if she’ll step into the sun after a past steeped in darkness.
I am happy for Rachel and Ethan. She has come a long way since her captivity. She is – of course – far from healed. But she is tough and strong. And she will need this, when new tries are ahead of them. After learning some life-altering news that fills the couple with hope for a better future, leaving behind their tragic past, new shadows loom above them. Somebody is threatening their fragile happiness. It is up to Ethan and his brothers to protect her again.
This was a very sweet, perfect short story. Ethan and Rachel deserve happiness finally. I was very moved by revisiting them. They came a long way since the first book. Shadows are still there from their past, but they came out more stronger than ever. And this is a fantastic thing. I am looking forward knowing them more.
