The best guys have very big… guns. These men will prove nothing is impossible when you have to save the love of your life…
It’s been one year since ex-Navy SEAL Ethan Kelly last saw his wife Rachel alive. Overwhelmed by grief and guilt over his failures as a husband, Ethan shuts himself off from everything and everyone.
His brothers have tried to bring Ethan into the KGI fold, tried to break through the barriers he’s built around himself, but Ethan refuses to respond… until he receives anonymous information claiming Rachel is alive.
To save her, Ethan will have to dodge bullets, cross a jungle, and risk falling captive to a deadly drug cartel that threatens his own demise. And even if he succeeds, he’ll have to force Rachel to recover memories she can’t and doesn’t want to relive—the minute by minute terror of her darkest hour—for their love, and their lives, may depend on it.
“Never be afraid to tell me anything,” he whispered against her hair. “No matter how ashamed you might feel. I’ll never judge you, Rachel. I love you.”
Well, I am not Rachel – sadly -, but I will definitely not hold myself back. Tell you what. Honestly. This. Book. Was. Freaking. Amazing. The very first book that I read from Maya Banks back a few years and I totally did not regret anything. A great suspense, great characters, action-filled story with a lot of emotions. I felt like the characters were real, and I am watching a movie not reading a book.
All the emotions they represented and showed were just too real, I laughed and cried with them. I do not lie, first I fell in love because the story felt so real. I have no words to describe the experience and I do not know if I will find another book or series that has this much impact on me.
“Sometimes second chances are the very best chances,” she whispered. “Because this time we’ll get it right.”
Ethan thought he lost his wife forever. Then he gets anonymous info that Rachel is alive and well but kept as a hostage. Our guys go into the jungle, guns blazing and set all Hell on fire to get her back. But is she the same Rachel after one year of captivity? Can they right their wrongs in their marriage and live happily ever after? Or will Ethan lose again the most precious woman in his life?
I want a strong, gun-wielding man for myself too, who would burn down the world for me.
Oh, wishes, wishes! If you did not put this book/series on your TBR list, then you absolutely must.
